South Coogee.

Sited on a sheltered South Coogee headland, this residence orients its main living spaces toward the water. Lime-washed walls and timber linings soften the interior, while deep eaves protect the home from the coastal climate.

Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, drawing uninterrupted coastal views deep into the living spaces. When open, the home breathes with the sea breeze. When closed, the slim frames hold the panorama like a living painting.

The sandstone facade was shaped and laid by hand, each stone individually worked by the team at Artisan Stonemasons to create a unique, textured finish that catches the coastal light differently at every hour. Above, lightweight cladding brings crisp shadow lines and long-term durability to the sun-facing elevations.

Inside, bespoke joinery, integrated lighting, and natural stone counters anchor the home's quiet palette. The master bathroom pairs antique marble tiles with bronze fittings, a calm, layered backdrop where every material was chosen with restraint. Throughout the home, every tile junction was cut, aligned and grouted with precision.

The pool is complete with a custom-designed concrete form set within the coastal garden, a private place to swim, cool off, and gather through the summer months.
